Popular chef Sanjeev Kapoor is very close to his daughter Rachita Kapoor and he never shies away from expressing his undying love for her. Speaking of this, we stumbled upon a throwback video from Rachita’s wedding where Sanjeev got emotional while singer Shankar Mahadevan sang the 'Dilbaro' song from Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi. The chef could not control his tears and broke down seeing off his darling daughter. The video of the same has now gone viral on social media.

In 2022, Sanjeev’s daughter got married to her longtime boyfriend Darren Dsilva in Dubai as per Hindu and Christian ceremonies. For the Hindu wedding, she opted for a red lehenga with intricate gold embroidery and wore kundan jewellery, chooda and kaleera. Darren complimented her in a white sherwani. In the viral clip, Sanjeev and his daughter turned emotional while Mahadevan crooned Dilbaro. The father-daughter duo could be seen in tears with Rachita hugging her doting dad. The video is getting immense love from netizens.



Sanjeev also dropped a couple of his photos from his daughter’s wedding on Instagram and wrote, “Only love and more love for these two. To a week long celebration with memories of a lifetime. May your love be ever growing. Shaadi mubarak Rachita and Darren.” The Padma Shri awardee chef is also a proud father to another daughter, Kriti Kapoor with wife Alyona. 

For the unversed, Sanjeev Kapoor is widely known for hosting the cooking show Khana Khazana, the longest-running show of its kind in Asia which was broadcast in 120 countries. He is also the first chef in the world to own a 24X7 food and lifestyle channel, Food Food which was launched in January 2011.
