Chhapaak: Samajwadi Party To Watch Deepika Padukone Starrer In Lucknow While Congress Makes It Tax-Free
On Tuesday, Deepika Padukone had gone to Delhi to show support and stand in solidarity with Jawaharlal Nehru University’s President Aishe Ghosh who was attacked in JNU by masked men. Since her presence in the scenario was lauded many, there were few who were miffed to see the actress there and demanded to boycott Chhapaak which was released today, January 10. Boycott Deepika was also trending on Twitter, all of this, just a few days before her film’s release. Amid the JNU violence, the film has finally released today and Twitterverse has all reviewed the film, calling it an outstanding film and hailing Deepika’s acting chops.

In the wake of a section of right-wing leaders calling for a boycott of the film, reports are coming in that Samajwadi Party has now chosen to show some support to Padukone starrer Chhapaak by watching the film at the theatres in Lucknow. According to Times Now reports, the party people are going to watch the film because their president Akhilesh Yadav has always shown his support to the acid-attack survivors. A senior SP leader said: "We are also watching the film because our president Akhilesh Yadav has always been concerned about the problems of acid-attack survivors. He, as a chief minister, had set up the Sheroes Hangout cafe in Lucknow for acid-attack survivors." This is the place where Dippy celebrated her birthday on January 5.
