Coronavirus Scare: A 21-Year-Old Spanish Football Coach Francisco Garcia Dies After Being Infected With COVID-19

According to a Spanish newspaper, a 21-year-old Spanish football coach, Francisco Garcia has died from Coronavirus who was also been suffering from a form of leukemia. The reports further stated that Garcia had an unknown pre-existing health condition that resulted in him being more vulnerable to the virus which turned out to be fatal

Coronavirus has become a household name, from a milkman, commoners to celebs and government, there’s no one is who is not getting affected by this new deadly disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic and India currently has more than 100 confirmed cases with 3 deaths. Since the outbreak of coronavirus is rapidly growing and spreading and the government has called for a shutdown on those places that comprises a large number of people.  

However, the matter is hitting us hard when we heard some famous celebs like Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson and Juventus star Daniele Rugani, NBA player Rudy Gobert, the wife of President Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau have been tested positive. Unfortunately, we heard another famous person being affected by Coronavirus. He was not only tested positive but also turned out to be fatal. According to a report in Spanish newspaper Malaga Hoy, a 21-year-old Spanish football coach, Francisco Garcia has died from coronavirus who was also been suffering from a form of leukemia.

Francisco Garcia, a youth team coach at Malaga-based club Atletico Portada Alta had an unknown pre-existing health condition that resulted in him being more vulnerable to the virus. Though he was only informed of having cancer after going to the hospital with symptoms of Coronavirus but the football coach couldn’t make it and it is unusual for an individual of his age. The experts said in the Independent, if he hadn’t had leukemia, he would likely have survived the bout of Coronavirus.


A club statement read in the portal: "We want to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and close friends of our coach Francisco Garcia who has left us, unfortunately. Now, what do we do without you, Francis? How are we going to continue conquering ... in the league? We don't know how, but we will surely do it for you. We will not forget you, rest in peace, phenomenon. Until forever."
