Dipika Kakar Undergoes Second Surgery After Liver Cyst Recurrence, Says ‘I Cannot Be With My Son’

Television actress Dipika Kakar has shared a concerning health update, revealing that she recently had to undergo a second surgery after a cyst reappeared near her liver. The actress, who has been battling liver cancer since 2025, opened up about her condition in an emotional vlog, giving fans a glimpse into her ongoing struggle.

Dipika revealed that a 1.3 cm cyst had recurred, leading to another surgical procedure in March. The unexpected relapse has left her feeling anxious and overwhelmed, especially as doctors continue to evaluate her next course of treatment. She admitted that she did not anticipate the recurrence to happen so soon, calling the situation emotionally challenging.

Speaking about how the illness has impacted her daily life, Dipika shared that she often struggles to maintain a routine due to fatigue and frequent hospital visits. This has also affected her ability to spend time with her young son, Ruhaan. She said, “There are so many things going on in my mind… I am not able to give Ruhaan time sometimes; on the days I am fatigued, I just sleep. If I am in the hospital, I cannot be with Ruhaan.”

The actress also opened up about her fears following the recurrence, saying it has “shaken” her and made her more conscious about her health. She added, “I am a little scared now that it shouldn’t happen again… I feel anxious.” Despite this, Dipika emphasised the importance of staying strong and positive while fighting illness.

She further reflected on the strength of women, highlighting how they continue to manage responsibilities despite physical and emotional challenges. Through her vlog, Dipika continues to keep fans updated about her journey, while drawing strength from her family’s support and hoping to recover fully.
