Emraan Hashmi Injured On Awarapan 2 Sets, Suffers Abdominal Tissue Tear During High-Octane Action Sequence Shoot Filming Scenes

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi suffered a serious abdominal tissue tear while filming a high-octane action sequence for the upcoming movie Awarapan 2. The injury happened on set and was significant enough to require immediate medical attention and surgery, according to multiple media reports.

Following the incident, Emraan was rushed for treatment, and doctors advised him to rest to allow for proper recovery. Despite that advice, he made the decision to return to work much earlier than expected. He is now back on the film’s sets in Rajasthan, where the shooting schedule has been adjusted to prioritise his health.

On location, Emraan is reportedly performing only controlled action movements and is working under close medical supervision. The production team is monitoring his condition carefully to ensure his safety.

A photo has recently surfaced on social media showing Emraan with a bandage wrapped around his abdomen, which appears to have been taken at a hospital following the injury.

To support his recovery while keeping the film on schedule, the Awarapan 2 team has reportedly revised the shooting plan. These changes include shorter work hours and reduced physical strain for Emraan so he can continue shooting without overexerting himself.

Fans and followers have praised the actor for his commitment and professionalism, while also sending well-wishes for his full and speedy recovery.

Emraan was most recently seen on screen in the movie Haq alongside Yami Gautam, where he played an advocate. He also has several upcoming projects, including the Netflix web series Taskaree, set to release on January 14, 2026.
