Twitter is changing; and it’s happening really fast! Elon Musk has made groundbreaking alterations after taking over as the new boss for the micro-blogging site. From laying off almost 50 per cent of staff to charging for the blue tick and more, Musk has introduced a whole lot of changes at Twitter. 

Now, its being speculated that Musk will be charging for meals at Twitter which he said was offered free of cost till now. However, an ex-Twitter employee schooled him and said Musk is lying.

As per Musk, the “estimated cost per lunch served in past 12 months is >$400” which is around Rs 32,000.

However, a former Twitter employee, Tracy Hawkins, who recently resigned because she didn’t work with Musk, pointed out that the Twitter boss is lying about the lunch’s cost. “This is a lie. I ran this program up until a week ago when I resigned because I didn’t want to work for @elonmusk,” she said.

Meanwhile, Musk has denied the claims made by Hawkins and said what she is saying is “false” and “Twitter spends $13M/year on food service for SF HQ.”

Elon Musk also pointed out that serving lunch worth more than $400 million in 12 months and said it is “bizarre” since “almost no one came to the office”.

Denying the claims made by musk, Hawkins said “for breakfast & lunch we spent $20-$25 a day per person. This enabled employees to work thru lunchtime & mtgs.”

Hawkins said that the “attendance was anything from 20-50 per cent in the offices”. Responding to the same, Musk said that “badge in records show peak occupancy was 25 per cent, average occupancy below 10 per cent.”
