Family Man 3 Actor Rohit Basfore Found Dead Near Assam Waterfall; Family Alleges Murder By Friends

Actor Rohit Basfore, who is set to appear in Manoj Bajpayee’s upcoming web series Family Man 3, was found dead near a waterfall in Assam’s Garbhanga forest on Sunday evening (April 27). Police confirmed that his body had multiple injury marks.

According to a report by Odisha Bytes, officials stated that Rohit had returned to Guwahati from Mumbai a few months ago. His family mentioned that he had left home around 12:30 pm on Sunday for a day trip with friends. However, they lost contact with him later in the evening.

Subsequently, one of Rohit's friends alerted the family about the incident. The family then contacted the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), following which Rohit's body was retrieved and transported to a hospital.

The family has alleged that Rohit was murdered by four of his friends. They claimed that it was a premeditated act, and revealed that Rohit had recently been involved in a parking dispute, during which three of the accused had issued death threats. The individuals named by the family include Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore. Additionally, the family accused a gym owner named Amardeep, who had allegedly invited Rohit for the outing.

An autopsy was conducted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. Doctors discovered multiple injuries on Rohit's body, including wounds on his head, face, and other parts.

A police official, as quoted by Odisha Bytes, stated, “We are investigating the case, but the four accused are on the run.”

Authorities are continuing their investigation while the family demands justice for the young actor’s tragic and untimely death.
