A major fire broke out at a commercial building, Peninsula Park, on Veera Desai Road in Andheri, Mumbai, on Monday. The building, in which the fire broke out, is opposite Yash Raj Film’s studio and has many Bollywood production houses. According to a report in Indian Express, a local informed that the fire has spread to the top floors through the duct. Akhram Shaikh, a local, informed the tabloid, “The fire has spread through the duct to the top floors. There is no space for the fire brigade officials to enter the place. The area is congested.”
Another local, Parth Shah, told Indian Express that the building is being evacuated. According to another report in ANI, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. This news comes after a major fire broke out at a residential building in Mumbai in Grant Road.
