Football legend Diego Maradona passed away on Wednesday, reportedly, due to a heart attack. After the news surfaced on social media, his gazillion fans flocked the internet and expressed their grief of losing one of the legendary football players. Maradona, regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, helped Argentina win the World Cup in 1986. Many still look up to him and after the tragic demise news broke in, many were left heartbroken. From sports fraternity to the entertainment industry across the globe, expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the late legend. However, the latest one to mourn over his death is actor Shah Rukh Khan. He recently took to his Twitter handle and shared ahold picture of the Argentine football legend along with a heartfelt note.
 
He wrote that Maradona made football more beautiful and that he will be sorely missed. "Diego Maradona....you made football even more beautiful. You will be sorely missed and may you entertain and enthral heaven as you did this world. RIP...." his tweet read. That's not it, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra have taken to their respective Instagram stories and mourned over his death. He played club football for Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona among others and was adored by millions for his brilliant skills. 

Even the official handle of Barcelona offered their condolence as they tweeted, "FC Barcelona expresses its deepest condolences regarding the death of Diego Armando Maradona, a player for our club (1982-84) and an icon of world football. Rest in peace Diego"


Even, Argentine player, Lionel Messi penned a beautiful eulogy for him which read, "A very sad day for all Argentines and for football. He is gone but he has not left us, because Diego is eternal. I cherish all the beautiful moments experienced with him and I wanted to take the opportunity to send my condolences to all his family and friends.
