Radha Prakash Yadav, an Indian cricketer is being applauded for her splendid play at the ongoing T20- tournament. Literally making her way up to the Women’s Indian Cricket team, Radha from North India has made everyone proud. Followed by many treating her as their inspiration, the blooming cricketer has come a long way and is definitely here to stay. With women’s cricketer too being encouraged, now the Indian cricket team players are gushing over her sportsman spirit she showcased on the 22 yards.

Radha who was picked by the cricket association at a very tender age for South Africa cricket tour has proved herself in very less time. Radha who earlier used to earn 12-15,000 per match, with her hardship has bagged BCCI contract which now fetches her more than 10 lakh. Radha coming from a not so financially stable family, with her earnings, bought her father a proper shop selling out basic grocery items. Later she plans to shift her family to Baroda, where she has plans to buy a house.

A local coach Praful Naik who was looking for talented young players spotted her playing cricket with a group of boys and was left amazed by her talent.


As reported in Hindustan Times, he was quoted saying, “I spotted her as a 12-year-old playing in half-pants with the boys in the society compound. She stood out in the crowd. She bowled medium pace as well as spin. I felt she was more effective with spin and could conserve her energy for her batting.”

Since then there was no looking back for Radha.

Former Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag praising her Tweeted, “Hamari ladkiyon mein bahut Dum hai. Shafali Verma was brilliant again and Radha Yadav bowled a match winning spell. Congratulations @BCCIWomen . Best wishes for the semi-finals #IndvSL”
