Kolkata Knight Riders' Rinku Singh impressed the fans and the entire Indian Premiere League (IPL) fandom as he slammed five consecutive sixes to pull off a sensational three-wicket win over Gujrat Titans on Sunday. Apart from the fans, even Bollywood celebrities have lauded the cricketer. 

Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter handle and started the ‘Jhoome Jo Rinku’ trend following Rinku’s epic feat that led to his team’s victory. The Pathaan star posted a modified film poster with his face swapped with Rinku’s. 

“JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!! My baby @rinkusingh235 And @NitishRana_27 & @venkateshiyer you beauties!!! And remember Believe that’s all. Congratulations @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore take care of your heart sir” he wrote.


Meanwhile, even Ranveer Singh also took to his Twitter handle and shared his excitement at Rinku’s spectacular performance. “RINKU !!!!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeh kya tha !?!?!?! #IPLonStar #GTvsKK @KKRiders #rinkusingh @StarSportsIndia,” he wrote. 


The actor’s fans also expressed their surprise in reply to his tweet. “This is one of the greatest ever events in the history of sports not just cricket but in the history of sports! Unbelievable... Absolutely unbelievable...,” wrote one. “Pal pal run maare Rinku jiya,” wrote another.

Interestingly, the official Twitter handle of Kolkata Knight Rider also posted an edited clip of the song from Pathaan in which Deepika Padukone can be seen dancing with Rinku as his face is placed on Shah Rukh’s body. The caption reads, “. @iamsrk 's #JhoomeJoRinku tweet got us thinking! What if...? 🤔”

Rinku also impressed Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. The latter took to his IG stories and called him a ‘Beast’. Meanwhile, his sister Suhana Khan praised the cricketer and called him ‘unreal’.

The match seemed to be in Gujrat Titan’s favour until the last over, especially after Rashid Khan secured a hat-trick in the 17th over to dismiss KKR’s three power-hitters - Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur. However, Rinku single-handedly took the match away from GT with his 6-6-6-6-6 wonder.
