Madelaine Brockway and Jacob LaGrone became TikTok stars overnight, courtesy of their lavish fairytale wedding. But, their wedding bliss seems short-lived as the groom is reportedly facing criminal charges.
Brockway, a car dealership heiress from Florida, became an influencer almost overnight with her opulent wedding. The extravagant five-day celebration was held in Paris, and it is being dubbed as the ‘wedding of the century’ and it featured an overnight stay at the Palace of Versailles and a private concert by Maroon 5.
However, Madelaine has now set her Instagram and TikTok to private.
As per The New York Post, her husband Jacob LaGrone, 29, is facing a possible life sentence for shooting at police officers. He has been charged with aggravated assault against a public servant for allegedly firing at three cops in Texas on March 14.
The Westworth Village police officers were responding to multiple reports of a disturbance when LaGrone shot at them. Aggravated assault against a public servant is a first-degree felony in Texas.
According to the indictment, LaGrone “did intentionally and knowingly threaten imminent bodily injury” to the officers and “did use or exhibit a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault, namely, a firearm”.
Jacob even appeared at the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth on November 30 and could face life in prison if convicted. Meanwhile, his wife Madeline Brockway was found missing from attending the court proceedings.
For the unversed, Madeline is the daughter of Bob Brockway, who owns Mercedes-Benz dealerships across Florida. Her lavish wedding, for which she wore a Dior gown, cost an estimated $56 million.
