Back in 2019, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Alina Rai had said that neither she nor her friends can see the resemblance between her and Katrina Kaif. She also mentioned that while she really admired Kaif as an actress, she wanted to carve her own path in the entertainment industry.
“I mean I think she is amazing...she has established herself as a star in Bollywood. However, to be compared to someone is... I don’t really see it as a compliment or as an insult. I feel you should really make your own mark and your own shine,” she was quoted as saying.
