Global sensation Katy Perry is currently judging the international singing-based reality show American Idol. While the show often leaves the fans in a trance with the contestants showing off their singing talents, the recent episode took a shocking turn. In a video shared by the musician herself on her official X handle, she almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction during a contestant’s performance. In the now viral video, Perry is seen exclaiming how her top broke off.
As she struggles to keep her top in place, she expresses to the contestant how their performance “song broke my top off!” She added, “You literally have the ability to blow the roof off the place... or a top!” Further in the video, she is seen saying, “I need my top to stay on. If it's not fixed, this show is gonna get more than it wanted,” as her team rushes to her rescue to fix her top. She is seen trying to hide her wardrobe malfunction by pressing a cushion to her front and even hiding behind the judges table.
Netizens were quick to take to the comment section to hail her for carrying the silver top with grace and elegance. Many reshared the photos she posted on Instagram of the outfit in the comments.
For the unversed, the 39-year-old American musician recently announced that it might be her last season as a judge on American Idol. While talking about it, she expressed her desire to pursue and explore new music. She was wanted to also travel the world, which led to her decision to step down as the judge of the reality show. The makers of the show are yet to announce her replacement, however, if reports are to be believed, Miley Cyrus might replace her.
