Kristen Stewart was recently in the news for revealing that she was advised to keep her relationship under wraps and not go out holding her girlfriend’s hand in public. The actress revealed in an interview with the magazine Harper’s Bazaar UK, “I have fully been told, ‘If you just like do yourself a favor, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.” Now, Kristen Stewart has expressed her wish to play the role of a gay superhero!
In another recent interview with Variety, at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Kristen Stewart opened up on her previous comments she made during her interview with Harper’s Bazaar and said that she is sure they would love to hire the gay kids to be superheroes. She said, "I've always radically rejected it. It's nice to be able to talk about that in a way that people really understand now. Instead of sounding like I'm being crazy, like, 'Don't put me in a box! Ambiguity's a cool thing!' Now, it's like, duh. Before I had to say it like it was some far-out idea. Now it's more on the main stage, which is rad. I'm sure they would love to hire the gay kids to be superheroes.”
Kristen Stewart’s Seberg co-star Anthony Mackie was present along with Kristen at the TIFF to promote their upcoming movie. Mackie plays the role of Falcon in the movie and will be seen in the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Kristen was asked what kind of superhero she would like to play, she said she’d love to play a gay one. To which Mackie instantly replied, “"I think she should be the gay female Falcon Captain America."
