Marathi Filmmaker Mahesh Tilekar Lashes Out At Kareena Kapoor Khan for Being Rude Towards Fans; Recalls How She Once Ignored Her Co-Star
Mahesh Tilekar took to social media to slam Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Radhika Apte for only being cordial with fans and co-star during the promotions of their projects
Days after Kareena Kapoor Khan received hate online for not wanting to touch a female fan during her outing with hubby Saif Ali Khan, Marathi filmmaker Mahesh Tilekar took to his official social media handle and bashed the actress for her rude attitude. In an Instagram post, he wrote in Marathi about the experiences he observed regarding the actress and her personality towards fans and his co-stars.
He started his post by recalling how he had recently watched an interview of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy where he had narrated an incident regarding Kareena. He went on to say how during his return flight from London to India, he was sitting just behind the actress. While many admirers came to talk to him, some did the same with her. However, she blatantly ignored everyone who was trying to talk to her, disrespecting their emotions. Quoted by India Times, Tilekar went on to add, “What is the use of such arrogance? Eight years ago, we were waiting in the check-in line at the airport when I noticed Kareena standing next to one of the actresses from our programme. She went to Kareena Kapoor and greeted her. She wanted to click a pic with Kareena but the Bollywood star ignored her, leaving her upset.”
He even criticised actress Radhika Apte for clicking selfies with some of the famous social media influencers as she had earlier stated she doesn't feel comfortable clicking pictures with others or giving autographs. It was on Saturday evening, when a female fan rushed up to the actress and tried to touch and shake her hands while Kareena had just stepped out of her car. Confused by the sudden invasion, she greeted the fan with folded hands, but refused to touch her, which has left the netizens enraged. Many took to the comment section of the viral post to lash out at the actress for having a horrible attitude towards the fan.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan has movies like The Crew, Hansal Mehta's next, Sujoy Ghosh’s untitled movie based on the Japanese bestseller The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino in the pipeline.
