Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar Says, ‘Nepotism Should Have No Role In Appointments’
Former Indian international cricketer and also Indian cricket team skipper, Sachin Tendulkar has managed to win hearts with his game and stellar performance on the cricket field. The cricketer continues to remain in the hearts of fans as he keeps in touch with them on social media, with posts and videos. Now, as per the latest reports, Sachin Tendulkar has reacted over his name being dragged in the appointment for different positions of the Mumbai team, with a letter to the MCA chief. Tendulkar said that nepotism should have no role.

According to a report in Ahmedabad Mirror, the former Indian cricket team captain has written to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) chief and has reacted. The report stated that Tendulkar wrote, “My attention has been drawn to some disconcerting media coverage about my name being referred to, in the context of some appointments being considered presently. Any appointment should be made purely on merit and in adherence to the laid down process with influence and nepotism having no role to play, whatsoever.”

In a letter to MCA president Vijay Patil, Sachin Tendulkar mentioned how nepotism should have no role and mentioned that merit should be the role criteria in regards to the positions in the Mumbai team. Tendulkar mentioned in his letter that his attention has been drawn to some ‘disconcerting media coverage’. As the cricketer shared his stance in the topic related to the appointment with the MCA chief, the MCA also discussed the issue at its Apex council and mentioned that no member used Tendulkar’s name. The MCA said, “The Hon. President had authorised Mr. Amit Dani to provide his suggestions to the CIC considering that he is a first-class cricketer. Mr. Dani had only made certain suggestions and had in no way recommended any name for the appointments.”

Meanwhile, for the unversed, Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) chief Lalchand Rajput had said that a particular MCA member was adding pressure on the committee by suggesting Sachin Tendulkar’s name. On the other hand, Tendulkar recently won praises from fans after he shared a picture of him making Wada pav.
