The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
have recently taken four trips along with Baby Archie
in a span of 10 to 11 days. The couple first flew from London to Spain with little baby Archie to celebrate Meghan Markle’s 38th birthday. The couple then from there returned to London and flew back to Nice, in France after a short stay of two days. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced the wrath of criticism earlier this week for the elongated trips they took with their private jet, Meghan’s friend Jessica has come out in support of the Royals.
The Royals, Meghan, and Harry have been advocates of many environmental and wildlife causes left a huge carbon footprint with the continuous usage of their private jets according to those who have been critical of their trips. This trip the royals had was a highly criticized one by the fans of the royals and even the international media. In support of her friend Meghan Markle, Jessica Mulroney took to her Instagram to share her fury on the backlash the royal couple is facing, Her post read, “When someone faces unfair criticism, you call it out. When that person is your friend and family, you call those critics what they truly are. Shame on you, you racist bullies.” Captioning the post-Jessica wrote, “3 years of undeserved hate and abuse. It’s enough.”
Along with Jessica, friends of the royal family, celebrities Elton John, and Ellen DeGeneres also tweeted to support the Royals. Elton on his Twitter came out in the Royals defence revealing they were at his house in France, he tweeted, “After a hectic year continuing their hard work and dedication to charity, David and I wanted the young family to have a private holiday inside the safety and tranquillity of our home. To maintain a high level of much-needed protection, we provided them with a private jet flight."
Ellen's tweet read, "Portia and I met Prince Harry and Meghan in England to talk about their work on wildlife conservation. They were the most down-to-earth, compassionate people. Imagine being attacked for everything you do, when all you’re trying to do is make the world better."
Elton John further mentioned that in order to support Prince Harry’s commitment to the environment, the flight the Royals too was carbon neutral by making an appropriate contribution to Carbon Footprint.
