Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry, turned a year older today. Born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, Meghan is an American member of the British Royal family. The Duchess of Sussex, who is a mother of two - son Archie and daughter Lilibet Diana, turned 40. As the former actress celebrated her 40th birthday on Wednesday, the Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton sent heartfelt wishes to Prince Harry’s wife via social media.
The Royal family made a post on the official Instagram account. The post saw three pictures of Meghan Markle with her family and The Queen. The first photo shows the Duchess of Sussex with son Archie and Prince Harry. The second photo is a throwback one featuring Meghan and Prince Harry from an event they attended back when they were senior members of the Royal Family. The last one is a candid one of the Duchess of Sussex with Queen Elizabeth II. “Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today!,” read Markle’s birthday post caption.

Taking to the official Instagram page of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law sent heartfelt wishes to the Duchess of Sussex. A beautiful candid picture of Meghan sitting on white sand was shared on Instagram stories, with the caption, “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!” The caption was followed with a Birthday cake emoji.
