The Duchess of Sussex shared about her struggles of being a new mother while being in the spotlight in the interview. Now, her on-screen Suits father Wendell Pierce has defended her against the negative press in a recent interview with Metro.co.uk. Wendell Pierce played the role of Megan’s on-screen father in the American drama Suits, which aired from 2011 and ended after nine seasons.
Meghan Markle, in the emotional interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby talked about her struggles as a new mum and thanked him for asking if she is okay, and said, “Also thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.” Now, her on-screen father Wendell Pierce spoke to Metro.co.uk and said that there are a lot of people who do not have our best interests at heart and also added, “‘That’s the ugly side of human nature and you try to not focus on that — you try to focus on the good side of human nature." Instead, Wendell Pierce said that he chooses to focus on her patronage of the arts, of the charities, of the abused women and all of the great work that Meghan has been doing. He said, “The negative press is just an example of the ugly side of human nature, and she’s actually showing us when they take the low road, she takes the high road.”
