Miss World 2019: Jamaica's Toni-Ann Singh Gets Top Prize, India’s Suman Rao Bags The Third Spot

Jamaican beauty Toni-Ann Singh is Miss World 2019. She bagged the title beating France's Ophely Mezino and India’s Suman Rao. Along with Jamaica, it was a celebratory mood for India as well with Suman getting crowned as the second runner up. Former Miss World Manushi Chillar congratulated Suman with a sweet message

More than 2 decades later Jamaican beauty gets crowned at the Miss World 2019. This coveted title was bagged by Jamaica's Toni-Ann Singh. The winner of this prestigious beauty pageant is a 23 year old student at US Florida State University studying psychology as per reports in Miss World website. She bagged the coveted title by racing ahead of France's Ophely Mezino in second position and India’s Suman Rao in the third position. Toni-Ann Singh crediting her win to her mother, expressed of her mother being wind beneath her wings, allowing her to pursue her dreams.  

With Suman Rao making India proud on the world map, former Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, congratulated Suman on the social media platform. Taking to her Instagram story, Manushi posting a picture posing with Suman, was all praising for her. Her Instagram story had, “MY DEAREST @SUMANRATANRAO THANK YOU FOR MAKING US ALL SO SO PROUD!  WE LOVE YOUR OUR MISS INDIA (I WISH I HAD A BETTER PICTURE) Manushi who set to make her Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films’ upcoming venture alongside Akshay Kumar titled Prithivraj, was crowned with this title in the year 2017.  It was after 17 years, after now global icon-star Priyanka Chopra had won the beauty pageant in the year 2000. The second runner up Suman Rao hails from Rajasthan and is currently pursuing a career in chartered accountancy. Born on November 23, 1999 she was born in Aaidana village, located near Udaipur.

Before gracing this world beauty pageant podium, she was crowned in June, with Femina Miss India title.
