Narendra Modi Janta Curfew Against Coronavirus On March 22: Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar And Others Laud The PM
It goes without saying that the deadly coronavirus pandemic has created worldwide panic in several counties, including India. Apart from claiming several lives and shaking the government, COVID-19 has also left its adverse effects on various markets. To address the same, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in his latest speech, put forth some preventive measures to avoid the spreading of coronavirus in the country. The PM has imposed 'Janta (public) Curfew' on March 22 from 7 am till 9 pm.

Narendra Modi asked all the citizens of India to avoid stepping out of their houses on the above-mentioned date and timings. "If possible, please call at least 10 people every day and tell them about the 'Janta Curfew' as well as the measures to prevent,” said the PM in his speech. The curfew is exempted for all the basic essential services like the police force, medical services, media, home delivery and fire fighting. Further, he also asked the citizens to come at their doors or balconies and clapping and ringing their bells at 5 pm to encourage all the people working in the essential services like Medical staff, Airline officials, Media executives, Etc. 

This initiative by Prime Minister Narendra opened to a great response. A lot of citizens have pledged to follow it. Celebrities, too, have been lauding the PM. The list includes Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Shilpa Shetty, Shabna Azmi, Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal and Ravi Shastri among many others.
