The 92nd Academy Awards, more popularly known as Oscars, will be held in February, 2020 and this prestigious award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, California. The Oscars are one of the most famous award ceremonies worldwide. It will honor the best films of the year, and now Neena Gupta starrer The Last Color has made it to the list of feature films eligible for the 2019 Best Picture at the Academy Awards. The film was also the directorial debut of Michelin starred chef Vikas Khanna, and both of them are elated that the film has made it to the Oscars race!

The movie shares space with Avengers: Endgame, one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, and also Brad Pitt starrer Ad Astra. Also on the list with The Last Color, are movies such as Joker, Jumanji: The Next Level and many others. Vikas Khanna took to Instagram and shared a lengthy emotional note announcing the amazing news. Neena Gupta also shared Vikas Khanna’s tweet and agreed that it was indeed the best way to start 2020.  The movie has not released in theatres in India yet.






 A total of 344 films are on the list eligible for nomination in the Best Picture category. According to the official Oscars website, the list of official nominations for 92nd Academy Awards will be out on January 13. The Last Color is an adaptation of chef Vikas Khanna’s book by the same name, and it talks about the taboo around widows in Vrindavan and Varanasi.
