Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is currently busy preparing for a Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s first test match against Australia. He recently took to social media to express how he was feeling sad because he lost his new phone before even getting a chance to unbox it. Known for posting smart and witty comebacks on celebrities' tweets, Zomato asked him to order ice-cream from Anushka Sharma’s phone, so that he feels better.

While some commended the food delivery app’s smartness, many brutally trolled it. From Kohli’s ardent fans reminding Zomato that he doesn’t eat sweets to others sharing their grievances, Netizens didn’t spare a chance to mock them. It all started when Kohli tweeted, “Nothing beats the sad feeling of losing your new phone without even unboxing it. Netizens couldn’t help but complain about the problems they faced with their food deliveries and their awful customer care services. One wrote, “Less active on Twitter and become more active on delivery’s.” Another said, “Bhai mera vala order to delivery guy ne kishi or deliver kar dya Bina call kiye. Kya yar. Or muje blame kar rahe ho ki me Rs 154 ke liye Juth bol raha. Pahele fixed karo delivery  jaruri he ya sahi delivery jaruri he. Talking about Virat Kohli, he got married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy. In 2021, they were blessed with a daughter Vamika Sharma Kohli. The couple often makes it to the headlines for requesting their fans and the paparazzi not to click the pictures of their baby.

Last year, the couple even issued a statement when Vamika’s pictures were being circulated on the internet, where she was spotted attending Virat's cricket match against South Africa in Cape Town alongside her mommy Anushka Sharma. They wrote in their statement, “We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn't know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier.”

On the work front, Anushka will be seen essaying the role of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in her upcoming sports film ‘Chakda Xpress'.
