A lot of important events, functions had to be cancelled in the wake of the nationwide lockdown in place to help minimize the spread of Coronavirus. The third phase of the lockdown will end in a few days, but given the current situation, it doesn’t seem like the lockdown is ending anytime soon. A lot of people, who had their weddings scheduled during this period had to postpone it. But we see many tying the knot, adhering to government norms in an intimate wedding with just close friends and family members involved. Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha too married his longtime girlfriend Pallavi Varma at a farmhouse in Hyderabad, amid lockdown.
The wedding took place in the presence of family and close friends as per South Indian wedding rituals. The pre-wedding festivities took place a day earlier. Pictures and videos from their wedding is going viral on social media. For the wedding, Nikhil wore a gold sherwani, while Pallavi looked gorgeous in a red silk saree. For the haldi ceremony, Nikhil looked dapper in a yellow traditional kurta. They also had a quirky signboard at the entrance of their wedding venue, which read, “Pallavi and Nikhil… Mask here, sanitizers there… love everywhere”.

As per a report in Sakshi, Nikhil Siddhartha and Pallavi’s families had earlier planned for the wedding to take place in April this year. However, with the Coronavirus outbreak, they decided to postpone it. But with the lockdown is likely to extend, and since there wasn't a ‘shubh muhurat’ for a long time, their families decided they would get married on May 13, with permission from authorities and adhering to the protocols of the lockdown.
