Nigerian singer Rema, who became an overnight sensation with his smashing hit ‘Baby Calm Down’, performed in Mumbai yesterday and it was a power-house show. Several videos of fans singing and dancing along with the singer during his gig surfaced online and they are breaking the internet. Rema was also joined by Bollywood actor-dancer Nora Fatehi on the stage and she made the Nigerian musician dance to her popular track 'Naach Meri Rani'.
In a video that has gone viral from the gig, Nora could be seen teaching dance steps to Rema as they groove together on 'Naach Meri Rani'. Both set the stage on fire with their power-packed performances and wowed the audience with their energetic moves. Rema performed in Delhi on March 12th and in Mumbai on May 13th as a part of the ‘Rema Calm Down India Tour’. He will be performing today in Hyderabad and he has planned a special surprise for Hyderabadis. In an interview with Hyderabad Times, the international singer revealed he would be performing on the Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’. Yes, you read that right!
Rema was quoted saying, “I've heard so much about Naatu Naatu being a craze in India that I want to surprise my fans in Hyderabad, I believe the way forward in music is cross-cultural collaboration. I love to merge Indian sounds and dance with Afrobeat, so I will be adding a personal touch to the dance number.”
Needless to say, Rema's concert in Hyderabad is going to be a memorable affair for fans!
