Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu almost tripped on the stage during her final walk at Miss Universe 2022 event
Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu broke down in tears as she graced Miss Universe 2022 grand event and walked the stage one last time. She could not hold back her tears while crowning her successor and USA’s candidate R'Bonney Gabriel Miss Universe 2022 title. However, what grabbed everyone’s attention was Harnaaz almost tripped when she proceeded to walk the stage but she handled it gracefully and continued her walk with confidence.
In a viral video, Harnaaz could be seen tripping while walking but handled the situation like a pro. In her speech, she said, Harnaaz said, “I was 17 years old when I first took the stage and since then becoming Miss Universe has been my goal. I've been given the megaphone on a worldwide stage to present the topic of menstrual equity before world leaders asking them to keep this conversation ongoing.” The former Miss Universe also paid tribute to her predecessors Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta with her outfit at the event. She wore a low-cut embellished black gown featuring pictures of Sushmita and Lara from their winning moment at the pageant. Her dazzling gown was designed by Lock Upp contestant Saisha Shinde.
At the Miss Universe 2022, USA’s candidate R'Bonney Gabriel won the prestigious title and Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel emerged as the first runner-up. ALSO READ: SHOCKING! Meanwhile, Chandigarh- based Harnaaz Sandhu has been on the receiving end for putting on weight. She faced online trolling and was even body-shamed after her photos of weight gain surfaced online. Talking about the same, Harnaaz told People magazine that she is suffering from celiac disease and thus she is allergic to many food items including gluten, soy, and coconut.
