Since last year, there have been reports about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle having problems with the royal family. In a shocking statement sent out through their Instagram account, just yesterday, the Royal couple, officially announced that they are stepping back from the Royal duties. A few reports then claimed that Oprah Winfrey was the one advising the royal couple to do so. Rubbishing the news, Winfrey shared how she is not involved in the decision of the Royal couple.
While Oprah Winfrey is enjoying her time peacefully, a report in Page Six claimed that she was involved with the decision that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took. Refusing and denying the news calling it ludicrous, Oprah Winfrey told People magazine that the Royal couple does not need her help to figure out what’s best for them. She said, “Meghan and Harry do not need my help figuring out what’s best for them. I care about them both and support whatever decisions they make for their family.” Sharing about how much she cares for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Oprah Winfrey mentioned that she supports whatever decisions they make for their family. Meanwhile, as per a Page Six source, Winfrey being a close friend to the Royal couple, Oprah was the one who advised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stepping back from Royal duties. The source also dished out that Oprah was the first person the Royal couple spoke to about breaking free from their Royal duties.
The source told the portal, “Oprah was the first person to talk to Harry and Meghan about breaking free and doing their own thing, building on their own brand. She made them realize it was really possible,” and claimed she was the one who made them realize it was really possible.
On the other side, the website also claimed that other celebrity friends to the Royal couple including the Obama’s, Clooney’s and Serena Williams also advised them the same.
