Padma Lakshmi Slams US Professor Tom Nichols Who Called ‘Indian Food Terrible’
Soon after Tom Nichols, who is a professor at the U.S Naval War College, called Indian food terrible, it sparked a major online controversy and backlash. Joining in the protest and slamming the professor is Salman Rushdie's former partner and celebrity chef Padma Lakshmi. She asked him, “Do you not have tastebuds?”

Twitter to share his controversial opinion on Indian food. It all happened when
a user asked people to quote a tweet with the most controversial food opinion.
Re-Tweeting to it, Tom Nichols, who is a professor at the U.S Naval War College
gave his honest opinion about food, that too Indian food. And when we talk
about India(n) you know how desi netizens are.
Taking to Twitter, US professor called Indian food ‘terrible’ and said, “Indian food is terrible and we pretend it isn’t.” And that was it. Tom Nichols was trolled for his statement. His other Tweet read, “If Indian food is any indication, that’s the cuisine they’ll be serving on the way down.” His statement sparked a controversy.
