Pakistani Law Enforcement Agency Books Singer Meesha Shafi For Running A Smear Campaign Against Ali Zafar
Pakistani singer Ali Zafar who was roped in for several Bollywood projects, before the tension between India-Pakistan escalated and a ban on artiste across the borders was announced, has filed a complaint against 8 people for running a smear campaign against him. As per reports in PTI, the singer has filed a complaint against singer Meesha Shafi and eight others for this smear campaign. Meesha and the eight others were booked by Pakistani law enforcement agency.

It all began with several fake social media accounts, targeting the singer followed by Meesha Shafi's sexual harassment allegation against the singer. It was reported on an investigation that all these fake accounts were linked to Meesha. Later on, both Ali and Meesha dragged each other in a legal tussle, with Ali also filing a defamation case against her, which is still reported to be pending for the verdict in a Pakistani court. Cyber-crime division of Federal Investigation Agency located in Lahore has booked an FIR against them on Monday.

The list includes Meesha Shafi, make-up artist Leena Ghani, actor-host Iffat Omar, Maham Javaid, Fariha Ayub, Ali Gul, Haseemuz Zaman Khan, Syed Faizan Raza and bloggers Humna Raza.  All of them booked under section 20 (1) of Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and R/W 109-PPC.

Also, talent manager Rizwan Raees who handled both the parties in the past, said, “The defendant (Meesha Shafi) then said to convey a message to the plaintiff (Ali Zafar) to step away from Pepsi contracts.
