Pakistani Viewers Praise Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, Say Film Shows “Only Facts” And Is “Bilkul Anti-Pakistan Nahi”

Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has struck a chord not only in India but also among audiences from Pakistan, who have praised the film’s gripping storyline based on real-life events in Karachi’s Lyari. A video shared on X shows Pakistani viewers giving the film a thumbs-up. One woman is heard saying, “Movie ki direction, everything was top! … Open mind ke saath dekhein, please.” Another man adds, “Bilkul anti-Pakistan movie nahi hai. History aur facts dikhaye hain.”

In fact, after watching the film in theatres, many in the video called it a “must-watch,” emphasising that it simply presents facts rather than pushing an anti-Pakistan narrative. One woman remarks, “Movie must-must watch hai. Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ki acchi acting kisne ki hai … Go and watch it, don’t miss it.” Another viewer urges fellow Pakistanis to come see the movie, insisting again, “Bilkul anti-Pakistan movie nahi hai. History dikhayi gayi hai, facts dikhaye gaye hain...”

The positive reception isn’t limited to audiences — the film, inspired by real incidents involving crime syndicates and terror-related events in Lyari, has garnered acclaim for its realistic portrayal of complex events.  The cast of Dhurandhar includes not only Ranveer Singh but also names like Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and several others.

In short — while Dhurandhar has stirred significant attention for its hard-hitting narrative and thematic boldness, many Pakistani viewers who have seen it appear to appreciate the film’s portrayal of real events, calling it fair, fact-based and emphatically “not anti-Pakistan.”
