Pintu Nanda PASSES Away At The Age Of 45 From Acute Liver Failure; Odia Actor Died Due To Unavailability Of Organ Donor
Renowned Odia actor Pintu Nanda left for his heavenly abode at age of 45. The actor breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad, while undergoing treatment for liver related ailments. He passed away on Wednesday night after his condition deteriorated. According to ETimes, he was shifted to New Delhi's Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), from a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for liver transplantation. 

If reports are to be believed that he was again shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad from Delhi, due to unavailability of organ donors. The entertainment publication stated that earlier a relative was supposed to donate their liver to the Mr. Romeo actor, however, due to mismatch of the blood group, the process was stopped mid-way. Before the a new donor could be found, Nanda lost his battle to life.

The Odisha film fraternity mourned the loss of their gem. Many took to social media to send out their condolences to the actor’s family. The governor of Odisha Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, Union Minister Darmendra Pradhan and many other political leaders too mourned the untimely demise of the actor. 

Actor Sidhanth Mohapatra, during an interaction with the media, condoled the loss of his colleague and close friend. He told the media that the late actor was like a younger brother to him and his sudden departure has left the industry very sad. 

For the unversed, Pintu was a well-known face in Odia television and movies. He was one of the most versatile actors with a variety of roles like a protagonist, antagonist, character artist and comedian under his belt. After starting his acting career with a Doordarshan program, he made his movie debut in 1996 with Koili. He has since then featured in projects like 'Dosti', 'Hata Dhari Chalu Tha', 'Rumku Jhumana', 'Wrong Number', and 'Prema Rutu Asigala.'
