Poonam Pandey Confirms Baby Bump Photos Were Fake, Says “April Fool Day Hai, Prank Tha” Amid Pregnancy Buzz

Actor and model Poonam Pandey once again grabbed attention on social media after sharing photos in which she appeared to flaunt a baby bump, sparking widespread speculation about her pregnancy. The pictures, posted on Instagram just a day before April 1, quickly went viral and left fans both surprised and confused. While some followers congratulated her, others were sceptical, suspecting that the post could be a publicity stunt or an April Fool’s Day prank, especially given her history of shocking announcements.

In the images, Poonam is seen smiling at the camera while highlighting her midsection. In one photo, she lifts her T-shirt to reveal what looks like a baby bump, while in another, she poses with her T-shirt pulled down but still drawing attention to it. Adding to the mystery, she captioned the post only with emojis—a pregnant woman, baby faces, and a milk bottle—without offering any explanation, which further fueled curiosity online.

As reactions poured in, social media users began questioning the authenticity of the images. Some wondered if the bump was created using prosthetics or AI, while others outright dismissed it as “another stunt.” The timing of the post, just before April Fool’s Day, also led many to believe it was a planned prank.

Soon after, Poonam herself addressed the speculation by sharing a video on April 1, confirming that she is not pregnant and that the baby bump photos were indeed part of an April Fool’s prank. She said, “Guys, thank you so much for your lovely wishes. Lekin mein pregnant nahi hu. Guys aaj April Fool day hai, prank tha yaar.” She further added that with so much stress in the world, she wanted to entertain people and lighten the mood.

Her clarification did not come as a surprise to many, as fans had already predicted the move, given her past controversial stunts—including a widely criticised incident in 2024 when she faked her own death to raise awareness about cervical cancer.
