Pornstar Adriana Chechik experienced one of the worst nightmares of jumping in a foam pit, but ended up landing on hard concrete. This has ultimately led to her suffering the most alarming injury.
A pornstar and video game streamer on Twitch announced that she suffered a broken back at the foam pit at the gaming convention, which took place this past weekend in San Diego.
“Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today,” Chechik tweeted. “Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”
She added: “Special shout out to the random off work EMT who got the workers at the booth to realize how bad I was injured and to make them keep me still and calm me down until others got there. [You really] kept me from crying badly.”
As a part of fun festivities at TwitchCon, which started on Friday and runs until Sunday evening, streamers got a chance to enjoy themselves at TwitchCon. Many have been jumping into the foam pit after doing battle on some elevated platforms, Gladiators-style. Some of them have reportedly been getting seriously hurt.
In a video of the incident at TwitchCon, which was first shared by Clippy Chimp, Chechik was seen leaping off a small platform, splitting her legs, and landing on her tailbone, before she could roll over and said, “I can’t get up”.
Shortly afterwards the announcer was heard saying, “No, no, she’s fine.”
However, as per Adriana Chechik, she was far from fine!
Meanwhile, Adriana wasn’t the only one to suffer injuries in the foam pit. A man named Chris Ricks also claimed that he couldn’t walk following a leap into the foam pit. He tweeted, “my dumbass fell in after my round and I couldn’t walk most of last night and today the back still hurts.”
There also appeared to be a couple of leg injuries sustained there, reported the NewYork Post.
The shocking incidents occurred at the Lenovo booth. A spokesperson from the company told Kotaku, “We are aware of the incidents of TwitchCon visitors who sustained injuries in the gladiator game soft foam pit at the Lenovo booth. The area has since been closed for any further use while we work with event organizers to look into the incidents.”
