Punjabi Actor Deep Sidhu, Who Was Accused In Red Fort Violence Case, Dies In A Road Accident -Details Inside
Punjabi actor turned farmer activist Deep Sidhu, who was out on bail in the Republic Day violence since last year, is no more. The actor died in a road accident. The accident took place on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway that bypasses Delhi. His body has been kept in a government hospital in Sonipat.

According to reports, Deep was going from Delhi to Bhatinda in Punjab when his SUV in which he was travelling rammed a truck at 9.30 pm.

"He died in the accident and a woman accompanying Sidhu was admitted to a hospital where her condition was stated out of danger," Kharkhoda police station inspector Jaspal Singh told PTI.

The actor's last pic with his girlfriend Reena Rai is going viral on social media. Deep and Reena can be seen posing for a mirror selfie in their Valentine's Day post. While Reena is seen wearing a bodycon dress, Deep is dressed in blue denim jeans and a jacket. The actor made headlines last year after he was arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with a tractor rally by farmers on Republic Day that spiralled into violence after protesters came to the Red Fort and attacked policemen. He was in jail for two months before being released on bail.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi tweeted his condolences on the actor's death. He wrote, "Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of renowned actor and social activist, Deep Sidhu. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family and fans."
