It’s been more than a week since Queen Elizabeth II passed away, and her Majesty’s funeral will take place today, September 19, with the royal family laying her to rest at St. George’s Chapel inside Windsor Castle. 

Queen Elizabeth II  - the world’s longest living Monarch - passed away at the age of 96 on September 8. Following the sad news, many across the world have been travelling to the U.K. to pay their respects, while others can watch via their television.

Queen Elizabeth's Funeral: DATE, TIME And OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS 

Her Majesty’s funeral proceedings would commence at 5:34 am EST (3:00 pm IST) on Monday, September 19 with King Charles III, Prince William and Price Harry scheduled to arrive at the Houses of Parliament to escort her body to Westminster Abbey. 

Following this, the Queen’s coffin will be departing the houses of Parliament on a gunned carriage while the tiro and other royal members of the family follow on foot, as reported by E! News.  


WHERE To WATCH Queen Elizabeth II's Funeral

The funeral will be live streamed via many news streaming websites, and the streaming for E! Online starts at 5:34 a.m. EST and will be broadcasted until 2:30 p.m. EST. 

For those who prefer watching via cable TV, live coverage of the funeral is expected to air on NBC, CNN, ABC and Fox News. It will also be televised on British channels in the U.K. such as BBC One, BBC News and Sky News. 

Queen Elizabeth II RESTING PLACE

Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest at St. George’s Chapel inside Windsor Castle, alongside her parents George VI and Queen Elizabeth.  For the unversed, her husband Prince Philip was also buried there following his death in April 2021.
