Queen Elizabeth Is Entirely Supportive Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Desire To Create A New Life In Canada
A few hours back, Queen Elizabeth issued a royal statement proclaiming that her family is entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family and they will be helped with the 'transition' phase.
Royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had taken everyone by surprise when the couple decided to take a back seat from all the responsibilities that come from being 'senior' members of the royal family. The desire to separate expressed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the royal family got everyone talking, so much so, #Megxit was also trending on social media, leaving everyone miffed with their decision. Talking about being hurt, reportedly Prince of Wales, Prince Charles and the father to Prince Harry is ‘hurt’ as he gave his own money to the Royal couple for furnishing Windsor castle and their Royal wedding.
The news was confirmed by the official Instagram account of Duke and Duchess where Meghan and Harry, in their joint statement, announced that they are looking forward to "work to become financially independent" in the next chapter of their life. Recently, a statement was released where Queen Elizabeth told that she and her family are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family.
According to NDTV portal, the statement was quoted, "My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family," the 93-year-old monarch said in a statement. The statement further read, "Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working members of the royal family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”
"It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK, I have asked for final decisions to be reached within days," said the queen. Rumour has it that the cause of separation was the infighting between the brothers and reports of Meghan who is an American actress with a strong social media presence feels unwelcome in the highly traditional and structured royal family.
