The Bengali entertainment industry has been left shocked by the sudden demise of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, who passed away at the age of 43 after a drowning incident during the shooting of a television show on Sunday, March 29.

According to early reports, the tragic incident occurred in Talsari near Digha while he was filming for the show *Bhole Baba Par Karega*. After completing a portion of the shoot, Rahul reportedly entered the water. When he did not return for a considerable amount of time, members of the crew began to worry and raised an alarm.

Technicians and crew members eventually managed to pull him out of the water. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Digha for treatment. However, reports suggest that he had already passed away before reaching the medical facility. A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted at the same hospital to determine further details.

Actor Bhaskar Banerjee, who worked with Rahul on the show and portrayed his uncle, confirmed the unfortunate news. Speaking about the incident, he said, “He died due to drowning. It is a tragic incident. It happened after pack-up. However, exactly how it happened is still not clear.”

Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was a well-known face in Bengali cinema and television, and his sudden passing has left colleagues, fans, and the entire industry in deep grief.
