Rajinikanth’s fans have flocked the theaters ahead of Thalaivaa’s new film Jailer, which marks his return to the big screen after two years of long wait. However, the film has landed in trouble as it was hit by piracy in merely a few hours after its release.

The paramount development has left the fans and makers traumatized as many were excited to see their loved superstar back in an action avatar. Owing to the grand release in the theatres worldwide on Thursday, many had taken to social media to run countdowns for Jailer's release. To top it off, the companies had also handed free tickets to their employees, reported The Economic Times. 

However, all the excitement and hype came crashing down as the film somehow found its way to torrent websites. 

The film has been made available for free download in HD quality on pirated sites like Filmyzilla, Ibomma, TamilYogi, Tamilblasters, Movierulz, Tamilrockers, and more as reported by Asianet.Newsable. Prior to its release on torrent, Jailer made history as all its early morning shows were marked houseful. 


Jailer emerged as the top trend on Twitter and fans heaped praises over the film. Jailer has received positive reviews from all corners and from action scenes to unexpected climax - viewers are thoroughly happy with the masala entertainer. 

The film stars Rajinikanth in the leading role. The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan and others. Interestingly, superstar Mohanlal is also a part of Jailer.

Earlier this month, the makers of Jailer treated fans with the official trailer for Rajinikanth's mega-blockbuster, titled Jailer Showcase. The trailer also gave a glimpse of Jackie Shroff as he threatens Rajinikanth over a phone call. 

For those unaware, piracy is a criminal offence as per the Copyright Act of 1957 and it not only impacts the box office collections of a film but it also disrespectful towards the hundreds of people who work hard to make a film.
