Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja recently made the headlines as he reportedly got into trouble with a female cop in Rajkot after he was stopped for allegedly not wearing a mask. As per reports, he was pulled up by a female cop for not wearing a mask as a precaution. The cricketer was reportedly in the car with his wife Rivaba, and Jadeja reportedly claimed that the lady constable behaved rudely with him.
As per a report in Times Of India, Jadeja was stopped by head constable Sonal Gosai of Mahila Police Station, while he was with his wife Rivaba in their car at around 9:00 PM at Kisanpara Chowk in Jagnath Plot, Rajkot. The report states that the cop asked Jadeja for his license and they got into an altercation when she reportedly asked them to pay a penalty for not wearing a mask. Sources informed TOI that Jadeja informed the police that the head constable was rude to him.
Gosai reportedly admitted herself to a private hospital on University Road, after complaining of stress. Meanwhile, Deputy commissioner of police Manoharsinh Jadeja told TOI, “Jadeja and the constable both have accused each other of rude behaviour. There is no formal complaint from either side. As per my information, Jadeja was wearing a mask and we are investigating whether his wife was wearing or not.”Meanwhile, Republic reported PSI AJ Lathiya saying that it was Jadeja's wife who got into an argument with the police inspectors over them not wearing a mask.
Ravindra Jadeja will be making his awaited comeback to cricket via IPL which will be starting in the UAE from September 19.
