Roger Federer Fan Virat Kohli Was Rooting For Sumit Nagal In The 1st Round Of US Open, Cuz Country Comes First!
Virat Kohli is a great sportsman. He is not just good at cricket, he also knows how to keep up with the team spirit and encourage others in the field of sports. He recently took to Twitter to wish tennis star Sumit Nagal made a place for himself in the US Open by giving an awesome performance in the qualifying tournament. Sumit Nagal took on the mighty Roger Federer in the first round and it was definitely a big deal because Roger has been a 20-time grand slam champion. It was a match to watch out for but sadly, Sumit lost to Roger.

Virat, who is a big fan of Roger Federer, put his liking for the tennis legend aside and instead rooted for Sumit. He tweeted, "And congratulations to @nagalsumit for qualifying for the #USOpen. A humongous task facing the great @rogerfederer, but we will be cheering for you. Best Wishes and Goodluck." Sumit did take notice of Virat's tweet and responded saying Thank you.

On Instagram, Virat wrote a long post for Sumit. He narrated his journey and achievement by posting, "VKF Athlete Sumit Nagal inducted in to the foundation in 2018, takes a monumental leap by qualifying for his first ever Grand Slam Singles main draw event at the US Open by knocking out Brazil's Joao Menezes(5-7,6-4,6-3).Ranked at a career best 190. He is only the 5th Indian in this decade to achieve this feat & will face-off with Roger Federer in the 1st round!"

You put up a great show Sumit, we are proud!
