Salman Khan Backs Students Protesting NEET Irregularities, Says ‘Paper Leaks Are A Serious Issue’.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has extended his support to students protesting against the alleged NEET paper leak and examination irregularities, calling paper leaks a "very serious issue" and urging that the movement should remain free from political interference.
Sharing a heartfelt note on social media along with a throwback photograph from his student days, Salman expressed concern over the violence that marred what he described as a peaceful protest. The actor said he was saddened to see students and their families suffer while raising their voices for a fair and transparent education system.
In his statement, Salman praised the students for standing together in pursuit of educational reforms. He applauded their dedication, sincerity, and determination to build a brighter future, adding that their efforts reflected the aspirations of a stronger and better-educated India. The actor also appreciated parents for supporting their children throughout the movement.
However, Salman made it clear that the issue should not be turned into a political battle. He stressed that the matter concerns students and the education system, and appealed to political parties not to hijack the protest for their own agendas. Expressing confidence that the government would address the concerns, he said he hoped India would eventually become a global destination for quality education.
Salman's statement comes amid growing support from the entertainment industry for students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak and demanding greater transparency in the examination process. Several actors and filmmakers have voiced solidarity with the movement, which has gained nationwide attention following clashes between protesters and police during the 'Chalo Sansad' march in Delhi.
