Sarath Babu CRITICAL As He Suffers From Multi-Organ Damage; Veteran Actor Put On Ventilator After Facing Breathing Issues-Reports
Veteran actor Sarath Babu, who is suffering from multi-organ damage, is reportedly in a critical condition
Veteran actor Sarath Babu is in critical condition at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad. As per reports, he has been put on a ventilator after he faced breathing problems. Last week, he was admitted to a hospital due to multi-organ damage. The Tamil star is reportedly suffering from sepsis, which impacted functioning of kidneys, lungs, liver and other organs. This is the second time when Sarath Babu has been rushed to hospital. Earlier, he was admitted to a hospital in Chennai.
As reported by News.18.com, the senior actor had taken a cancer diagnosis a few years ago. On April 20, he complained of discomfort and thus was immediately taken to a private hospital in Kochi. According to doctors who are treating Sarath, he is critical but he is responding to the treatment. Back in 2012, Sarath, whose real name is Sathyam Babu Dixithulu, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In his book ‘Laughter in the Cancer Ward’ he gave a detailed account of the treatment he received and also expressed his emotions as he healed.
Meanwhile, Sarath Babu is a renowned face in the Malayalam cinema. Having started his acting career in 1973 with a Telugu film, the actor has appeared in more than 500 movies, including Kannada, Tamil and English-language productions. Sarath Babu has also severed as the head of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists’ (AMMA) for 12 years. He was also a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Sarath Babu is a recipient of eight state Nandi Awards.
