Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Andaaz, Fanaa, Dil Ka Rishta, etc, the singer turned politician, Babul Supriyo has entertained many with his melodious voice in songs of Bollywood films. Currently, the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in the Union Council of Ministers, Babul Supriyo is active on social media. Recently, Supriyo took to Twitter to inform that a person named Somnath Das has been booked by Kolkata Police. On Twitter, Babul Supriyo made a tweet talking about how Honourable CM Mamata Banerjee is banning mobiles in hospitals proving that a Bangur Hospital video was not fake. He then went on to add that now there is another detail which he wants to bring forward as a People’s representative and requested that West Bengal came up with a proper answer to it.

As Babul Supriyo tweet an image, the Kolkata Police retweeted the post and wrote, “The tweet from @SuPriyoBabul is completely incorrect and misinformation. Somnath Das has not been ‘booked’ by Kolkata Police.” Check the tweets below:


Later, Supriyo retweeted the tweet made by Kolkata Police furious about not being addressed as Honourable Minister. In his tweet, he mentioned how happy he is that the Kolkata Police is out with a statement, but shared that as he appreciates the work done by the Police force and indirectly took a dig at them to search for answers on their own documented history of TMC-‘DoloDashness’. He then tweeted, “BTW, like I have addressed WBCM as Honble  @MamataOfficial & not just @MamataOfficial using my own sense of etiquette, u shud address Ministers as ‘Honble’ irrespective of whether u think he/she is Honble or Not•I don’t think Didi is doing an Honble job for WB yet she IS Honble CM.”


Meanwhile, as Minister Babul Supriyo as shared that he called Honourable CM Mamata Banerjee as ‘honourable’ using his own sense of etiquette, he asked the Kolkata Police that they should address Ministers as ‘Honble’ irrespective of whether they think he/she is Honble or Not. While Babul Surpiyo was not done here, he also went on to add that he does not think Honourable CM Mamata Banerjee is doing an Honourable job for West Bengal and mentioned that she is still addressed as Honourable CM.
