Recently, a few people received a call from a man named Rishi, who tells them that he has witnessed a murder and now the murderer is behind his life, in his shivering voice. It is only towards the end of the call, he reveals that it is a promotional call from SonyLIV for their upcoming show Undekhi. As soon as people received the call, they took to social media and tagged Mumbai Police and Cyber Cell with the recorded audio. Netizens have slammed the makers for their cheap publicity gimmick.

After facing severe wrath of netizens, SonyLIV has now taken to their official Twitter handle and has issued an apology for causing inconvenience to its viewers. They Tweeted, “If you have received a call for our show Undekhi & it has disturbed you we would like to sincerely apologise to you. This was a test activity that has gone out accidentally & our intention was not to cause any kind of discomfort or panic. We sincerely regret any inconvenience.” Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Cyber Cell unit also posted a precautionary message.
