Spider-Man Won’t Return To The Marvel World; Sony Confirms 'The Door Is Closed For The Moment’
Tom Holland starrer Spider- Man: Far From Home released on July 5, 2019 and was a huge hit at the box office. Tom’s performance in the film was praised and loved by many, and fans waited for the return of Spider-Man once again. However, with the ongoing controversy and lots of speculations about the split of Spider-Man from Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans were eagerly waiting for any update on Spider-Man returning to the Marvel World. Sony Pictures chairman has now spoken about the matter and looks like the saga has come to an end as it looks like the collaboration between with Disney won’t be happening anytime soon.

Spider-Man will not be returning to Marvel Cinematic Universe and it has been confirmed by Sony. When asked whether Tom Holland will be making his way back into MCU as Spider- Man, Sony Pictures chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra confirmed the news. He said at Variety’s Entertainment and Technology summit, "For the moment the door is closed.” The deal between Marvel and Sony, which allowed Spider-Man to appear in Marvel films along with the Avengers heroes in the MCU ended after Spider- Man: Far From Home which made more than 1 billion dollars at the box office. Disney wanted a larger pay cut of the box office revenue, but apparently Sony was not willing. However, the two companies are still on good terms and according to Vinciquerra, they share mutual respect and admiration. "We had a great run with [Feige] on Spider-Man movies. We tried to see if there's a way to work it out … the Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand, we have some pretty terrific people of our own. Kevin didn't do all the work," he said.

Well, this is indeed heartbreaking for fans of Spider-Man and Tom Holland. In other news,  Spider- Man: Far From Home actor Tom Holland recently treated his fans with a 4-minute video of the extended cut of the film, much to the thrill of his fans who were upset about the hero’s exit from MCU.
