Gurdaspur BJP MP and Bollywood actor Sunny Deol and an Indian politician and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu who were a part of the official jatha at the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor on November 9 were escorted by security personnel. They visited the Shrine of Baba Guru Nanak Dev at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur for the opening ceremony in Pakistani. Earlier, Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu visited Pakistan to take part in the Kartarpur corridor after he got the permission of the external affairs ministry to attend the event following with an invitation by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
After Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunny Deol had also announced to participate in Kartarpur Corridor’s inauguration ceremony in Pakistan on November 9. For the same, the Gadar actor even shared a couple of pictures of himself on his social media handle and tweeted, “इंसानियत ज़िंदाबाद।आज जगत गुरु बाबा नानक जी की कृपा से बहुत बड़ा दिन है। मेहर करो दाता जी। धन्य गुरु नानक देव जी। #apnagurdaspur #Kartarpur #KartarpurCorridorForPeace @PMOIndia @BJP4Punjab @BJP4India” Along with this, he even tweeted about donating money to Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji in another tweet.

Meanwhile, a month ago, Sunny Deol along with Karisma Kapoor were booked with the charges of pulling the emergency chain of a train during one of their films shoots in Bajrang in Ajmer district. However, the legal turmoil seemed unending for the duo, as the case relapsed and they were asked to appear in the court for hearing on September 24.
His son Karan Deol made a debut with Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass which did a decent business at the box-office, despite clashing it with Prassthanam and The Zoya Factor.
