Tamil Director Raj Kapoor’s Son Sharook Kapoor Passes Away At 23
Tamil Director Raj Kapoor’s son Sharook Kapoor breathed his last on his religious trip to Mecca today. The filmmaker’s son was accompanied by his mother Sajeela Kapoor and reportedly he passed away due to severe cold and weakness, even before one could understand its severity
Tamil film director Raj Kapoor’s son Sharook Kapoor is no more. Merely 23-year-old, Sharook was on a religious trip to Mecca. He was accompanied by his mother Sajeela Kapoor where he passed away. According to reports, the reason of his sudden death was severe cold and weakness. This sudden news has left the filmmaker shattered, as he was aiming for his son to join the industry after completing his ongoing education. Not only has the news taken the family by shock, but also the ones connected to him in the industry.
As per reports in New18, his mother thought it was due to weather change, but Sharook passed away even before the severity of the case could be figured out. It was also reported of the filmmaker facing issues with international rules and regulations in Mecca to fly down his son’s body to his hometown in Chennai. Sharook had posted pictures on his Instagram account after he reached Mecca for his religious trip. Going by his pictures it was assured of Sharook enjoying his trip.
Filmmaker Raj Kapoor began his career in the film industry as an assistant director. Director C. V. Sridhar took him under his wings, where he learnt the nitty-gritty of the filmmaking business. C. V. Sridhar is a well-known filmmaker in the South Indian film industry.
Then Raj Kapoor escalated to being a director for few more South Indian films such as Thalattu Ketkuthamma. Post which he went on to direct films such as Kusthi, Aval Varuvala, Uthama Raasa and also serial titled Nandhini.
Sharook had completed his Engineering studies in 2019. The director’s son had posted a picture on his Instagram posing with his parents.
Going by his Instagram posts, one can easily notice of Sharook getting trained under his father to set his foot in the industry. May his soul rest in peace.
