In a shocking piece of news, it was reported that Tamil TV actors and siblings Shreedhar and Jaya Kalyani passed away recently. Siblings Shreedhar and Jaya Kalyani, who were both popular TV actors down South died because of suicide. According to reports, the mortal remains of the siblings were found in their Chennai home when neighbours complained of a foul smell coming from the house. The neighbours then went on to inform the local police after which their decomposed bodies were discovered.
According to reports in Indiaglitz, both the popular TV actors, Shreedhar and Jaya Kalyani were undergoing financial crisis. The report states that no work during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown forced the siblings to take the drastic step. The decomposed bodies of Shreedhar and sister Jaya Kalyani were discovered at their home in Chennai’s Kodungaiyur Muthamizh Nagar.
After the police officials were informed about the foul smell by the neighbours, they were quick to act. The mortal remains of the late Tamil TV actors were immediately sent off for the further post-mortem procedure to the Stanley Hospital in Chennai. It was then understood that Shreedhar and Jaya Kalyani died by suicide.
Meanwhile, since the lockdown in the country has been imposed, there have been actors who have died by suicide. It was actor Manmeet Garewal who first took his life and later Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta died by suicide. Both the TV actors faced problems due to no work during the lockdown and died by suicide by hanging themselves in their homes. Amidst all this, it was yesterday when Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput also passed away after hanging himself in his Mumbai residence.
