Tamil television actress Padmaja who was known for her roles in films and serials was found hanging in her house on Sunday. According to reports in Times of India, the actress committed suicide at her residence in Kaladipet, Thiruvottiyur in Chennai on Sunday. Padmaja who has worked in Tamil TV serials committed suicide after her separation from her husband Pawan over an argument. The actress took the brutal step of taking her life due to marital problems and over issues with her husband.
As per reports, Padmaja and her husband Pawan, 25, have been parents to a son. Reportedly, Padmaja’s son is being raised by a relative nearby. According to reports, the body of the actress was discovered after two days. Reports state that, the owner of the house, S Kasinathan, found the house locked and the lights switched off for two consecutive days, after which he informed the police.
Later, the police broke the lock of the house and discovered Padmaja dead in it. The body of the Tamil actress was taken to the Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem soon after. The suicide case of Padmaja is under investigation under the Thiruvottiyur Police Station in Thiruvottiyur, Chennai as she was found dead in the Kaladipet locality. As per reports, before taking her life, Padmaja video called her sister and expressed her heart out talking about her worries over financial issues. The police officer was quoted in the report saying, “She made a video call to her sister on Saturday night when she expressed worry over her financial crisis. She was not able to land proper roles said."
